Your Dream Come True
If you close your eyes and really concentrate, you can picture
and almost hear the rushing sounds of a beautiful waterfall. You
think back to your childhood, when taking walks in the woody forest
on vacation or at a relative's house always put your mind at ease.
And your favorite thing about those trips? The rocky stream and
waterfall that you could run your hands through, while you listened
to it slap against the slick, wet rocks, of course. While your
brothers and sisters were trying to pick frogs out of the pond,
you were focused on the gorgeous frame of the waterfall and how
the majestic boulders held up the water as it gushed over them
to the pebbles below. If only there was such a thing as a waterfall
without a pond ... ah, the dreams we all have.
What You're Missing
Well wake up from that dream or you'll miss the beauty of the Pondless
Waterfall. Yes, a Pondless Waterfall is just what you think it
is … a waterfall without a pond. After all,
a pond isn't for everyone, but very few people can deny the breathtaking
beauty of a gentle waterfall. That's why the Pondless Waterfall
was developed perfect for those who don't want a full-fledged
pond, but would like to add a little water to their yards.
How It Works
The Pondless Waterfall is like an oasis in the midst of a green
grass lawn. It rises up and out of the ground and as quickly
as the water falls, it disappears once again. Without getting
too technical, a hole is dug (quite a bit deeper than your normal
pond), and is then lined with rock and gravel and filled with
water. That water is then pumped out of the rocks and gravel,
through piping, to a BIOFALLS filter, spilling over the falls
into the rocks where it “disappears,†and
the whole process begins again – the ultimate
circulatory system! Since the water level never pools above the
rock and gravel, it gives the appearance of a Pondless Waterfall.
Why A Pondless?
Besides your fond childhood memories of gorgeous waterfalls, there
are several other reasons to have a Pondless Waterfall of your
own. Some people don't want a pond because of the liabilities
of standing water and children. Some don't want a pond because
they don't want to have to worry about taking care of fish, especially
if they leave for long periods of time. Still others just don't
have room for a big pond, but can't live without the sound of
water. Cost is also a factor sometimes, and the Pondless Waterfall
can end up being significantly less money to build than a pond.
It Doesn't End There!
Perhaps the greatest thing about the Pondless Waterfall is the
fact that if you want to get a full-fledged pond, you can always
leave a room for expansion and you or your contractor can build
onto your existing Pondless Waterfall. The Pondless Waterfall
is perfect for people who are just getting their toes wet in
water gardening, or for those who just want the pleasant sound
of water in their backyard. Jump in – the
water's perfect!
